Total Allowable Error (TEa) Options

Westgard Advisor™ online uses a default TEa for each test. To change the default TEa, choose one of the following TEa options.

Note: Not all options are available for all tests.

• ±3SD limits based on the data for the test
• Biological Variation (BV) Desirable
• Biological Variation (BV) Minimum
• Biological Variation (BV) Optimal
• CLIA (USA)
• QMP-LS (Canada–Ontario)
• RCPA limits (Australia)

Note: Limits such as BV, CLIA, QMP-LS, and RCPA are only available when published.

• User Defined
• Tightest (smallest TEa available)
• Loosest (largest TEa available)
• State of the Art based on the median coefficient of variation (CV) of a selected consensus group

Note: When generating rules, Westgard Advisor™ online displays a message if statistics are not available for a consensus group.
